2030 WRG Mongolia Partnership awarded high-level ministerial award for contributions to Mongolian water sector

The Minister of Environment in Mongolia conferred 2030 Water Resources Group with a high-level ministerial award on Dec 26, 2018 in recognition of its significant contributions to the Mongolian water sector.

2030 WRG in Mongolia has supported many strategic interventions, which the award recognizes, such as the conceptualization and implementation of river basin governance mechanisms, development of standards for wastewater reuse,

incorporation of polluter pays principles in the legal framework to support greater wastewater treatment and reuse, and frameworks for incentives-driven water resources management. 2030 WRG’s engagement was initiated at the request of the President of Mongolia in 2013, formalized through an MOU.
