On 23 November 2020, 2030 WRG organized a session that discussed leveraging an MSP-based approach to achieve the dual objectives of water savings through farmer-led irrigation development (FLID) and food security. 2030 WRG hosted this session as part of a virtual pre-event ahead of the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021. Co-hosted by 13 organizations, this event is called Bold Actions for Food as a Force for Good (23 – 24 November 2020).

2030 WRG organized a webinar on digital technology applications across the agricultural supply chain with an emphasis on linkages between water and agriculture. This webinar provided an overview of the opportunities for agricultural innovations and critical factors to support testing, implementation, and mainstreaming of digital approaches relevant to water security. Through case study examples of private sector, practitioners, and academics, the webinar deep dived into the role that digital technologies can play in addressing the water-agriculture nexus. El Ministerio de Agricultura y Riego a través de la Autoridad Nacional del Agua (ANA), otorgó el Certificado Azul a la empresa Agrícola Cerro Prieto (Agroexportación - La Libertad); Agrícola Don Ricardo (Agroexportación - Ica); Constructora La Santa Cruz (Servicios – Ayacucho); y UNACEM (Construcción – Lima) por sus esfuerzos en el cuidado y uso eficiente del agua. // El certificado es el reconocimiento otorgado por la ANA a usuarios hídricamente responsables que participan en el “Programa Huella Hídrica” y ejecutan con éxito los compromisos asumidos para la medición de su huella hídrica, su reducción y su programa de valor compartido. // En el evento que contó con el soporte de la Embajada de Suiza y el apoyo del 2030WRG del Banco Mundial, el Consejo Empresarial de la Alianza del Pacífico y ONG Agualimpia, se reconoció también a las dos empresas que han renovado su certificación, Compañía Eléctrica El Platanal S.A. (Energía - Lima); y Termoselva (Energía - Ucayali). // También se reconoció a las nuevas empresas que han logrado su inscripción para obtener el Certificado Azul este año: San Miguel Fruits (Agroexportación – Ica y La Libertad), Textil del Valle (Textiles - Ica), CONURMA Ingenieros (Servicios – Lima), La Arena S.A. (Minería – La Libertad) y Shahuindo S.A. (Minería – Cajamarca).

This webinar was organized by the World Bank Water Team in Brazil, 2030 Water Resources Group, and the Israel Consulate in São Paulo, Brazil, representing the Israeli Ministry of Trade & Investment.
The discussions focused on disseminating strategies, experiences, technologies, and management methodologies for the improvement of basic sanitation services. It was an opportunity to share experiences and views on the control, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater networks.
The session is available only in Portuguese.

Queremos proporcionar uma oportunidade para a apresentação de diferentes experiências e visões sobre procedimentos de controle, monitoramento e manutenção de redes de esgoto.
O webinar interessa aos agentes dos setores público e privado envolvidos na regulação e prestação de serviços públicos de saneamento, que poderão ter contato com uma gama variada de iniciativas e experiências internacionais voltadas ao aumento da eficiência e à qualidade ambiental.
